LABELLE ADVENTURES CATTLE MUSTER
Join in on the thrill of our twice annual Cattle Muster . Imagine being in control of over 4,000 head of cattle on a two day journey through LaBelles amazing country setting. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of a great Australian tradition, and meet some interesting characters along the way. You certainly feel the adrenalin of the muster as the professionals go about their daring job. In fact you'll be riding alongside all the action in our comfortable Jeep Wranglers, Bull Buggies or the high flying four seater helicopter. You'll see the adrenalin pumping muster which is still partly done on horseback and quad bike. But the real excitement is in the air as the mustering copter darts and waves only metres from the ground. It takes around about two days to drove the cattle into the sorting yards, ready to be loaded onto the world famous cattle trucks (or road trains). Two day and single day trips are available as well but you will need to book ahead to be a part of this adventure. The muster runs between November and January, and again between May and June. LABELLE ADVENTURES CROCODILE EGG COLLECTING
Crocodile egg collection is an annual ritual where LaBelles expert station guides and local crocodile farmers collect wild crocodile eggs for various breeding programs. This is the type of stuff you used to only see on Television, only at LaBelle its something you can partake in. Join in on a day exploring the Stations lush wetlands and hinterlands in our R4 helicopters and airboats, as you delve into the realm of the crocodile. This is one of the world's most dangerous occupations so guests are not permitted to collect the eggs in person. Our experts take every precaution necessary when entering the lair of the crocodile. But you can't help getting caught up in the excitement when they enter each nest while the brooding mother lurks nearby. These guys are trained professionals and you'll get a unique insight everything there is to know about these amazing creatures. Bookings are essential for this adventure as there are limited seats available. Crocodile egg collecting only runs at the start of the wet season in November through to February, seasonally adjusted. LaBelle stations pristine environment is also the home to many feral pigs that are controlled by our hunting safari team. La Belle has its own exclusive hunting retreat at the neighboring Welltree station with a guest house that accommodates up to 6 hunting enthusiasts.
